Trust Statements

  • Trust status note The Academy Trust (tAcT) was set up in August 2014 as a registered public charitable body under the aegis of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru.
  • Objectives statement The Trust focuses on areas like capacity building, promoting outreach activities, particularly in areas where there is an urgent need for intervention, fostering innovation and excellence in Science and Technology, collaborating with other organizations for implementing joint programmes, improving research and education in science and engineering, and setting up science education chair professorships.
  • Current documented modes of work The Trust fulfils these objectives through Science Education Outreach, Academia-Industry Partnership, and Endowment Chair Professorship.
